Make Your Resolution to Break Your Fears

Every year, people make resolutions for the new year. They almost always involve creating a new person. For example, people resolve to lose weight or stop smoking.

While these resolutions are good to do, they might not work. The problem with resolutions is that the attitude that holds those bad habits is never changed. If you smoke because you are full of anxiety, you aren’t likely to quit smoking unless you can figure out another way to rid your life of the anxiety. If you make a resolution to lose weight, you have to have the determination and attitude to do the work necessary to lose weight.

Often, many of these habits are tied to our internal fears. If you want to be successful with your new year’s resolutions, you have to give yourself an overhaul. You have to determine what is preventing you from quitting smoking, losing weight, being financially successful, etc., and work to change that attitude. You can read books on positive thinking. This will help you in the right direction, but it is only a start.

You also should take some personal development class, such as Breakthrough Performance Workshop. The program uses music as a guide toward your personal development goals. The course takes place over eight weeks. The leaders of the program, Mick and Tess Pulver, give you songs that will guide you to heal a part of your soul that you might not even know is hurting. Every week, your song moves you along the path to successful transformation. Although the change might be subtle, it still is there. At the end of the eight weeks, you perform on stage in front of an audience.

When you complete a personal development course, you will have changed your attitude and gotten past your fears. Then, you can make those resolution, but you are more likely to be successful in keeping them. Also, no one ever said, you have to make the resolution only on New Year’s Eve. You can make resolutions throughout the year to change who you are. As humans, we continue to evolve as we move through days, weeks and years. You never stop learning about yourself.

As you get more aware of your inner self, you have a deeper understanding of what needs to change in your life. You can take courses to change those attitudes and break the fears. You will be more open to new ideas and embrace opportunities that you might have ignored in the past.

Make 2017 be the year you create a new you and break through your fears!
